When we care about someone, we want their best interests at heart. So we expect more from them than from strangers.
I don’t think you can put expectations aside. You can only be aware of your expectations and realize that your expectations may be too high and may place undue stress on your loved ones. It seems like you’re doing that already. Try to encourage rather than judge/criticize your loved ones negatively.

Nandita million dollar question. well , whatever you do , track your breath. There is a point when your breath tough the lowest part of your stomach and then it come back up. Always try to track the point from where air comes back. Whatever you do , keep the track of this point and your expectation will disappear. This will be difficult at first , but after a month of practice you will enjoy your reincarnation
